ABOUT This page was created in order to have a central place for the core Chatroom fandom information to be stored. As it is, the fandom (whether focusing on Jim/William, or the film as a whole) is very small, so the aim of this page is to show people that there is a fandom & that they are welcome to participate & contribute. We found many fans were discouraged by the lack of fandom, but hopefully this will help to start bridging these gaps in our little fandom & bring us all together. This page includes a fan listing, frequently asked questions about the film & quick links to certain fanworks that have already been done for the fandom to get you started! Send me a message! FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Please note: Many questions I receive are about aspects of the film that are up to your own interpretation, and I don't wish to force my ideas onto you. However, I do my best to answer as clearly and without my personal opinions invading the facts. Q: Will the film trigger me for self-harm/depression/suicide/anything else? A: Of course, it's hard for me to say. Everyone's triggers are different, and it's important that you know your triggers well. However, the film does contain a scene of self-harm, extensive talk of suicide and a general depressive theme. As I say, though, everyone's triggers are slightly different and generally highly personal. If you're worried about particular scenes that you think might trigger you & want to know more, you can ask me here. Q: What exactly was 'wrong' with William? A: The film doesn't explicitly say, or give a diagnosis as to William's problems. One of the hopes of expanding this fandom is that people will explore the characters & come up with their own ideas & reasons as to why the characters behave as they do. The film's synopsis describes William as "neglected", and I think that sums up the core of his issues nicely. His relationships with everyone around him are complex and messed up. He has trouble controlling his anger & even his behaviour. His relationship with his mother is especially tender, particularly in the light of his brother. But mostly, the beauty of the film is that you get to decide for yourself! Q: What song was used at *this particular point*? A: I have compiled all the songs used in the film and it's available here. As for the score (instrumentals) of the film, I have contacted the composer, Kenji Kawai, and he has told me that there are no plans to release the score at this point (or probably ever). Q: Where can I download the film? A: Google is your friend... And in all honesty, if you could buy the film that would truly be excellent. It's a small film that didn't really gain a lot of revenue at all, and buying the DVD would show a lot of support.
